About This Piece
Portraits like these were used in schools, libraries and so-called Cosmonaut Corners across the USSR. The Russian biographies on the back add to their interest as a document of how the space program was presented to the public. The cards can be framed one by one or shown together as a wall display, and they fit collectors of Space Race memorabilia and Soviet printed material.
