From the seller's notes
This Soviet dynamo flashlight is a mechanical hand-press light popularly known in the USSR as the “Zhuk” (Beetle). It needs no batteries: squeezing the metal lever repeatedly drives an internal generator that lights the bulb. This example is in fully working condition.

About This Piece
Hand-press dynamo flashlights were a common household item in the Soviet Union, valued because they worked anywhere without hunting for batteries. The price molded right into the body is a signature detail of Soviet mass production, when retail prices were fixed by the state and printed on the goods themselves. This Soviet dynamo flashlight reflects the “built to last” philosophy of the era: it is not just a collectible but a functional tool. It makes a practical addition to an emergency kit or camping gear, and a great conversation piece for collectors of Soviet memorabilia and industrial design.
