About This Piece

Optical equipment of this type was typically used in Soviet armored vehicles or for artillery reconnaissance. The OTK stamp is a hallmark of Soviet production, showing that the item passed factory quality control before it was accepted. Compact, well-marked optics like this are popular with collectors of Soviet military surplus, as display pieces next to field gear and helmets, or as an object of interest for anyone fascinated by military optics and the engineering of the Cold War era.
