About This Piece

The tablet was a standard piece of equipment for Soviet Army officers, who used it to carry maps, documents and writing tools in the field. A dated example from the 1950s is useful for collectors of Cold War militaria and for reenactors building a Soviet-era kit. The leather and the adjustable strap also make it a distinctive shoulder bag for display or everyday use.
