About this piece

Soviet Vesna table clock with wooden case, brass-tone bezel and tested hand-wound mechanical movement, made in the USSR. Ships worldwide from Ukraine.

From the seller's notes

This Soviet table clock is a Vesna (Spring) mechanical clock in a square wooden case with a gold-brass bezel. It has been tested and keeps time, with the audible ticking of a hand-wound movement. The seller dates it to the 1960s or 1970s.

Item Details

  • Brand: Vesna (Spring)

Condition

The movement runs smoothly and the winding mechanism is intact. The appearance is good for its age: the wooden case has minor scratches and patina. The craquelure on the dial gives it an aged look, so please look at the photos for the dial texture.

About This Piece

The combination of wood and brass gives this clock a warm, mid-century feel that suits a desk or a shelf. Having the original paper label on the back with the model number makes it easier to identify. It is a useful and decorative piece for collectors of Soviet clocks. The craquelure effect on the dial and the raised gold numerals set it apart from many plain Soviet desk clocks. A clock that has been tested and runs is a practical piece, not just a display item.
