About this piece
Vintage Soviet toy truck: Malysh series mobile crane in green, red and blue plastic with working winch and 360-degree turntable. Ships worldwide.
From the seller's notes
This Soviet toy truck is a mobile crane from the Malysh (Малыш) series, made in the USSR in the 1970s–80s. It is built from thick plastic with metal axles and painted in bright contrasting colors: a green cab, a red crane arm and a blue chassis. It is also a working toy, since the crane arm moves, the winch turns with a hand wheel on the side and the crane platform rotates through 360 degrees.

About This Piece
Small plastic vehicles with moving parts like this one were made for Soviet children in large numbers, and the bright colors and simple, sturdy shapes are typical of the era's toy design. A crane truck with a working winch is a nice find for collectors of retro toys, Eastern European toys or Soviet-era industrial design, and it still holds up as a toy for display and light play.
