About This Piece
On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin orbited the Earth aboard Vostok 1, becoming a global hero overnight. "The Road to Space" is his own account of that journey and was reprinted many times in the languages of the USSR. A Soviet-era Ukrainian edition like this one is a fine addition to any collection of Soviet space program collectibles and Gagarin memorabilia.
